Main structural differences between high-voltage motor and low-voltage motor

First, the insulation material of the coil is different. For low-voltage motors, coils are mainly made of enameled wires or other simple insulating materials, such as composite paper. The insulation of high-voltage motor usually adopts multi-layer structure, such as mica tape, which has complex structure and high voltage resistance.

Second, the heat dissipation structure is different. Low-voltage motors mainly use coaxial fans for direct cooling, while high-voltage motors have independent radiators. There are usually two kinds of fans, one is an internal circulation fan and the other is an external circulation fan. Two groups of fans run at the same time, exchange heat with the radiator, and discharge the heat of the motor.

Third, the bearing structure is different. Low-voltage motors usually have a set of bearings at the front and rear, while high-voltage motors usually have two sets of bearings at the shaft extension end because of the heavy load. The number of bearings at the non-shaft extension end depends on the load, while sliding bearings are used for particularly large motors.
